The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) have replaced the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).  They are the independent bodies that regulates the financial services industry in the UK.  They have a wide range of rule making, investigatory and enforcement powers in order to meet their objectives.

The Financial Ombudsman Service

This service is the official independent expert in settling complaints between consumers and businesses providing financial services.  Its their job to sort out individuals complaints that consumers and financial business haven't been able to resolve themselves.


The Joseph Rowntree Trusts

The JRT produce research reports on a wide range of issues.  Their aim is to identify the causes of poverty and injustice, to support communities where people can thrive and respond to the challenges of an ageing society.
